An Open Letter to the Westboro Baptist “Church” with a Message Probably Endorsed by God

Here at The Kale Online, we have not been shy about writing articles mentioning and directly regarding the hate-group The Westboro Baptist, who are well known for spewing derogatory and homophobic ideology all whilst parading as a church. The WBC is a legitimate religious organization the same way an ant is a pediatric brain surgeon. The WBC will find any tragedy and turn it into a circus of outlandish claims of religious superiority and anti-LGBTQA agenda. This following letter from The Kale is not only about WBC, it is directed too Westboro Baptist Church. We are not God. We do not claim to be God. However, we have it on the authority of several angels, hundreds of demons, multiple prophets, and musings from God himself- that this letter would have a nod of approval.

    Westboro Baptist Church,

There are many different words that come to mind when the name of your organization is spoken of, many are short possibly four letters, often combined with “go” and “yourself.” However, we are not about to participate in perpetuating further hateful messages. Instead our message is simple. Love is stronger than any hate, so while you Westboro Baptist plan to celebrate the tragic deaths and injuries of the biggest shooting in history simply because the victims were at an establishment meant as a safe haven for the LGBTQ community, we are going to love our friends and communities so strongly it is suffocating. You have called what occurred in Orlando, “a blessing.” We know what a blessing is and it does not include violence or death in any capacity. It would be extremely easy for us to toss slurs at you Westboro and act on blind anger and devastation from your callous reaction to such a tragedy. Easy does not equal right, there has been enough hatred in this world. Therefore, WBC The Kale will not condemn you as you’ve done other, we will use you as a tool to help educate others on why what you have created in the name of God is detrimental to our society. It is at this point of a typical break up letter where we would write something passive aggressive like, “we wish you all the best in your endeavors” or “we hope everything works out in the future.” We shall end this letter with the aggressive, it is never too late to change. The only thing allowing intolerance is you. We wish only that one day you will see the vast errors of your ways. We know this hope will fall on deaf ears, but on the chance that even one of your members will take to heart how heinous your organization is and denounce it- know that person will be welcomed and forgiven with open hearts and open minds. We end our letter with this, familiarize yourselves Westboro Baptist: 1 Corinthians 13:4-8.

This is the last time The Westboro Baptist Church will be mentioned by this publication; we simply choose not to give them any more attention. We shall end this article with a list of the lives lost on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at Pulse in Orlando FL, for these are the people who should be spoken of, and their families thought of and supported. There is nothing satiric about the loss of 49 innocent lives.

I’m sending my love to all those whose lives were tragically disrupted and destroyed, because of the Pulse massacre. I’m so sorry.
